$2500! (Yes you get TWO cars for this one low price!)
As you can see we got a lot of snow...
Without a doubt the best car I have ever driven is our 1990 Audi V8 Quattro. We have two of them for sale. They are twins! One is licensed and on the road the other is being held in reserve. These are enthusiasts cars. In 1990 this model was the flagship car for Audi and had every conceivable option including a mobile phone! They only made just over 16,000 of them and doled them out one or two to each dealership. The engine is a 32 valve double over head cam V8 of 3.6L displacement. This is a quattro drive vehicle and all wheel drive is excellent to have in the winter and on slippery pavement. You have lots of horsepower and the car is capable of doing over 147 mph off the showroom floor. The car is a dream to drive on the road. We drove it up the 401 and when you needed to change lanes or apply power it was easy. There was absolutely no hesitation. It is the type of car that you enjoy every moment in. It even has electric seat warmers!
We are selling it because we just don't have the resources needed to maintain these cars. We should have a garage with a hoist and our home just has a shed in the back yard. You should have access to an Audi Mechanic and dealer and in North Bay we don't have a Audi dealership or a mechanic familiar with this model. We do have a complete set of documentation and a repair manual. But unless you are an Audi Mechanic yourself you will eventually require the services of one.
An Audi of today in this quality range is over $100,000.00 . We are offering these two for $2500. I would prefer to sell as a pair rather than splitting them up because a true enthusiast will understand and appreciate the value here. It is very unusual to find a 1990 Audi V8 and even more unusual to find two that are so similar.
Here is a description of both Cars
- 1990 Audi V8
- Pearl white, black leather interior
- 3.6 engine
- requires work to the fuel level gauge. presently has a ground fault which I believe is in the driver's side door which is causing the (new) 12 volt battery to discharge
- has a fluid leak which we think may be a transmission seal which drips onto the exhaust
- body is in very good condition paint in good condition with some scratches on trunk, undercarriage in very good condition
- Tires are excellent with only about 1000 miles on them -high speed Goodyear Eagles
- Included is about $1000 of spare parts.
- presently licensed and insured, we were driving it regularly until we purchased a new vehicle
1990 Audi V8 car #2
- Pearl White
- 3.6 engine
- fuel tank level gauge removed to place on other Audi
- motor was running but surging when parked
- transmission was replaced by Audi at a cost of approx $18,000 and so would be a good spare
- hood gas struts were removed and placed on other audi.
- has not been running for over a year.
- best use would be for parts but if it could be returned to roadworthy status if a person really wanted to.
Who should buy the car. You should be an Audi enthusiast . By that I mean you should like to work on your own cars and be prepared to do at least some of the work yourself. This is NOT a "simple car" to work on. It is chock full of electronics and German engineering and you know how they like to engineer things. They love perfection. They love making the best cars. You should also know a little about this model Audi. It has become a type of cult car with classic Audi owners. Look it up on YouTube! It is one of those cars that attracts the immediate attention of other Audi drivers because a V8 is unusual in the Audi line up. We were told that Audi took two 1.8 engines and merged them together to build this motor. Should you wish to tune in and put a new chip in or do other mods you can get a ridiculous amount of power from this engine.
Who should not buy this car. I know this may sound odd but it would be a real mistake if a single Mom or student bought this car for basic transportation. (Perhaps an engineering student would work.) Despite the low price this is NOT an econo box car. If we convert the 1990 price to 2011 prices this car would now sell for $85,000 plus tax. Audi suggests that this model is the 19th best car they every produced.
If you think you would be interested in the cars we can arrange a viewing. Or if you need more info we can discuss over the phone. My email is ron@northtreasure.com I have no hesitation in telling you all I know about both cars.
Terms of the Sale

You could probably make a nice profit parting out the cars but I would rather sell it to a person who will enjoy driving at least one of them for some years to come.
